I know i have been mia-ing from my blog after christmas... HAHA. Anyways i have been watching Moonlight Resonance. It's super nice! I like the show! HAHA. I think i used around 1 week to watch finish the whole show if i am not wrong. HAHA.

Merry Christmas to everyone here reading my blog! (: Joined jianning and his family and relatives for dinner then went over to his house for sleepover cause they have christmas party today. The food cooked by jianning and his family was great! HAHA. I helped them with the cutting of food. HAHA. Mahjong at his place also. HAHA! Initially i was losing but all thanks to jianning's grandma and mother that's why i managed to win $1.60 (we didnt play money, only using tokens) HAHA. This year, i only have 1 present! So pathetic! HAHA. It's not from jianning also, it's from someone else lor. HAHA. I love the present! Thank you so much! (: Off days passed so fast! I only left 1 day of rest day before i go back for attachments. Haiz. Really hope attachments end sooner! I really cant wait!! ARGHHH.

Today is really a bad day! Didnt expect to be so busy at work on a sunday morning. I finally felt the stress of being a staff nurse when you graduate and wear the uniform. Thank God i am still wearing NYP's uniform so very protected. I think if i am wearing SGH uniform today, i will cry man. I took 3 beds and 2 out of 3 beds had so much changes. The changes will at least 1 to 1 1/2 page long! On a random note, i think the MO is really damn nice, she is really very nice to me. HAHA. When everything is going haywire for the nurses, she will say relax and calm down, changes will be done soon. HAHA. Thank God, the junior today is a staff nurse and she helped me alot too. I almost breakdown today. Haiz. Felt like a weakling. I hope i will be stronger from today's lesson and continue to persevere on. Seriously i need to be more alert to the changes in future too. By the way i really felt like a lost kid today, totally dont know what am i doing man! Haiz.

Yeah, today and tomorrow is my off day :) Woke up early today to SGH connection 1 to sign my employment contract! The HR went through with us terms and conditions of employment like our salary, ward allowances, meal allowances and etc. Anyways if everything goes smoothly, i will be starting work in march/april next year! OMG. Time flies so fast! 3 years of poly life is going to end in 1 month plus time and we will be stepping into the working world! Anyways i know my blog is super wordy! HAHA. No outings = no photos! HAHA.

A few piece of good news to share to all...
1. SGH accepted me! :) I was quite scared that they will reject me but thank God i secured a job.
2. I felt like a SN today, didnt do much junior today and i managed to do the changes myself but with alot of help from the senior staff nurse :X Well, i still feel proud of myself! HAHA.
3. I did my first discharge today! HAHAHA.
4. I did my first CVC dressing today. The patient keep telling my senior staff nurse that i didnt do before but thank God i managed to do it but with lotsa help from my senior staff nurse!

I think i really learnt alot today. Not like the usual days where i do 3/4 junior work and 1/4 staff nurse work. For the first time, i kinda enjoy doing my job after 1 month and 2 weeks? HAHA. By the way, our working time extended! ARGHH! Well, it's good for the staff cause they got extra day off but bad for us cause we got no pay and have to work more! *faint*

Went for SGH interview today. I am quite nervous and not prepared at all. Anyways even though i was informed to bring my cert, i only bring the original ones and didnt photocopy at all :X Thank God the HR people are nice enough to help us photocopy and even let us use the computer to retrieve our NYP results. THANK YOU SO MUCH :) Anyways i think one of the nursing directors interviewed me and i seriously think i didnt do well. I dont know i am dumb or what, i think i am somehow too honest about my medical conditions! Haiz. Then she keep asking me will enzema affect me working
-_-"' The funniest thing was she asked me how long will it take to get well, i was thinking in my heart you are a nurse before you should know it's long term de ma and also wont affect my work what. Super lame laaa! And she kept asking if i could do rotating shift, even if i cant also have to say yes cause i need to get a job and obviously 95% i will be working in inpatient ward which means it's rotating shift maaa. She write alot on some paper about me! Dont know izzit good or bad. I went interview a few minutes before my friend and i went out later then her laaa. It's super scary cannnnn! ARGHHH. Hopefully i will get a reply soon. Hope can get the confirmation soon. God bless me! :)

Finally got the pictures and here i am uploading it for you guys to see! This year will be a different christmas cause of our PRCP but thankfully i am off so i should be happy right? HAHA. Anyways christmas reminds me of presents! ARGHHH! I realised the older you get, you wont get as much presents as compared to when you are a child! :( I miss being a child, can receive lotsa presents other than your birthday! HAHA. 2 funny things i wanna say, firstly 1 of my patients is damn cute la, you know the santa socks? That kind people say santa will put present inside the sock when you are sleeping that kind? My patient wore that as socks la! LOL! When i saw it, i was laughing away! HAHA. Secondly, today my staff nurse in charge is from philippines. In philippines micropore is call plaster. The incident happen when she was putting up chemo and she said she wanted plaster, i thought to myself, need plaster for what but i still went out to prep room to get for her, when i went back with the plasters the staff nurse and the patient laugh at me cause she wanted micropore not plaster. HAHA. What a fool i am la! LOL. And i think i got really big appetile today! 11am : mixed rice, 4pm : curry chicken rice, 8pm : 2 bowls of rice with chicken, vegetables etc and now 1am I AM HUNGRY AGAIN! OMG! Went to meet dearest after work today (: Decided to watch a movie since we dont know what to do. HAHA. We went to PS to watch Bolt! The show is quite nice! HAHA. I like the character of Bolt and his 2 friends! (: I think the hamster damn cute laa! LOL. After that we went Orchard to take pictures of the lightings and all then went dinner at Far East. Thanks dear for the treat! We continued to walk from Far East to Somerset to see the lightings. After that we headed home. Went out with dearest today to town! We went to get presents! HAHA. I am totally broke now! All thanks to no allowances from the hospital! Haiz. Anyways dearest took picture with the blue and yellow man below! The blue man didnt move at all but the yellow man keep changing position. HAHA.

Decided to change my blogskin cause i think my blog looks really boring and dull and dead and whatever, so after "renovating", i think it looks so much better though it's still a little dull but i happy can le! HAHA. Anyways i have 1 piece of good news to share and the good news is i have 3 DAYS OFF! Like finally! HAHA. Think i gonna spend my 3 days to sleep more and to watch tv! HAHA!

On a random note, this is my 4th week of attachments and we are supposed to get feedback from our preceptor but unfortunately i havent got my feedback yet! Haiz. 1 thing i dont like about my ward is very messy when it comes to student matter! Sianzzzz.

Talking about work, i now understand the tiredness of being an enrolled nurse! I mean enrolled nurse really do alot of physical work. For eg, i cant imagine if we dont have dynamite and we gotta do 10 patients parameters in a row, i think it will take ages to finish cause of the call bells, staff nurse ask you do this and that and you will never finish your job until 1 hour later??? As for the staff nurse job also very stress cause you gotta remember to give medicine, do dressing, give injections and etc, then if you do something wrong or forget to do, you will kana from the senior staff nurse or even sister! I think i am forgetful so i think i confirm will have a hard time next time! ARGHHH. Anyways i am very happyyyy cause i gave SC injections today! HAHA! I know its lame but i felt statisfied! HAHA. I took 4 cases today at A1HD, from 1 case to 2 cases then now 4 cases... I think i am still very bad cause i havent done much changes, i still focus alot on the call bells! HAHA. If only patient dont press call bell, there will be world peace! LOL. And seriously i dont understand why the senior staff nurse wanna give lecture on a saturday afternoon and the morning shift people have to go home late! I was so tired that i only listened to half of the things she said, the other half of the time i am either stoning or yawning away...

Time flies so fast, 1 month of attachments is going to end soon :) Finally did RN job since last week. I think i am really silly to do something stupid yet funny mistakes! HAHA. The first silly thing i did was to tell my preceptor 1 of the medication in the IMR no need to be served then i asked her if i should highlight it then i highlighted it then she stopped me so i highlighted halfway in the IMR. HAHA. The second silly thing i did today was the staff nurse asked me to call ECG nurse to do ECG for 1 of the patient and i couldnt find the no and i happened to see heart center no so i called that no thinking that it is correct and all but after several conversations with the heart center nurse and my staff nurse happen to pass by, i told her and she asked me to put down the phone as i called the wrong no! I tell i am really dumbbbb la! OMG! What a blur nurse i am! OMG! Anyways i am happy cause i get to do NGT insertion and feeding and also SC injection! Weeeeeeeeee! Like finally got skills that i can do! HAHA! I am happier cause tomorrow is my OFF DAY again! :)
