10 nov 2008 marks the start of my PRCP! 3 days of orientation and to the wards for 3 months! I have mixed feelings. There are alot of ??? in my head right now. I need to learn to adapt to the official working life. I need to adapt to a new enviroment. I need to make new friends. There are alot of things i have to do. ARGHHH! Yesterday, today and tomorrow is bombarding my head, so many informations to be absorbed into my brains now! What i have learnt and what am i learning... Day 1 lectures : admission and transfer of patients, discharge planning procedure, assessment and documentation of 5th vital sign, clinical pathway and use of braden scale. Day 2 lectures : Medication rights and errors, drug calculations, management of patient with suicidal tendenc and patient safety. Day 3 lectures : labelling and despatching of specimens, nursing care report and ward routines and work processes.
