What a bored day even though it is my rest day. Haiz. Stayed at home the whole day to clean up the house! HAHA. Changed bedsheet, washed clothes and bedsheet, cleaned window, swept and mopped the floor, washed the fans and cooked dinner today! What a great achievement! HAHA! The only thing i need to do now is to fold my clothes! It's like a mountain on my sofa now! HAHA! Anyways it's sooooooooo unfair!!! TTSH, CGH, NUH are paying the prcp students and SGH never even pay a single cent to us! So unfair laaaaaa! Seriously i am gonna be super broke cause this 3 months cannot work and have to go for attachments! I know i have been saying got no pay and all for the past few entries but seriously they should give us some money for food and transport! ARGHHHH! I am already poor but i will become poorer soon! Haiz! :( If only SGH give us $10 per day, that will be great but nooooo it will never ever happen man! ARGHHHHH!

3rd week of attachments

Since attachments start, i find my blog getting more and more boring cause the the entries are all about attachments! HAHA. Experiencing my first weekend working was a great experience, more slack than weekdays. HAHA. I have learnt alot in my ward for the past 1 week plus, i mean the theory part not the practical! HAHA. From common medications to common antibiotics to common chemo drugs and etc! HAHA. Overall i find it very fruitful cause i really learn alot alot of things! I guessed the only thing that is lacking in me is maybe to observe more of what a staff nurse do! Anyways i am thankful that my ward is not soooo busy so i think i should be able to do alright if i will to take case. HAHA. On a random note, this 3 months is gonna be no freedom and like what puja wrote in her msn nick "sneak preview into the working world" which i think is very true, the only difference is we got no pay! Haiz! Other hospitals are getting paid laaaa! So unfair! ARGHHH! Anyways tomorrow is my rest day! YEAHHHH! (:

I think my blog is getting boring so i decided to find a joke to make it more interesting! LOL. My weekend was well spent with mr ng. HAHA. On a happy note, he won a cute jap minnie mouse for me in the arcade on saturday (: And i ate chocolates from japan! LOL. Went to mq house today to take pictures for SSS and she gave me the chocolates. HAHA. See the cute packaging below! So cute righttttt! HAHA.
Now is 12.14am and guess what it's my off day (: HAHA. No monday blues for me :) The sad thing is i have to work this weekend! Haiz. :(

Went to ward today. I am posted to haematology cum oncology! OMG. I think i am fated to oncology laaaa. The last time i came to SGH for my posting was in ward 48 and now ward 72! HAHA. Dear God, are you hinting me to do my oncology for my advance dip? By the way, my ward is paying class so we have A1, B2 and HD patients. I think i am really fated to be alone for all my postings. I was all alone at one side of the ward which consists of A1 and HD and there are only 3 patients and the rest of them are posted to the other side of the ward which consists of A1, B2 and HD. Imagine all the NYP, NP and ITE students are on the other side and i am all alone! OMG. How pathetic! ARGHHHH. I dont know why the sister put me there! #$%^* But i still wanna thank God that i am in aircon ward and the houseman is near my block so i should be happy! HAHA. On a random note, my schedule is out for the next 2 weeks! I will be working next weekend! ARGHHH.

10 nov 2008 marks the start of my PRCP! 3 days of orientation and to the wards for 3 months! I have mixed feelings. There are alot of ??? in my head right now. I need to learn to adapt to the official working life. I need to adapt to a new enviroment. I need to make new friends. There are alot of things i have to do. ARGHHH! Yesterday, today and tomorrow is bombarding my head, so many informations to be absorbed into my brains now! What i have learnt and what am i learning... Day 1 lectures : admission and transfer of patients, discharge planning procedure, assessment and documentation of 5th vital sign, clinical pathway and use of braden scale. Day 2 lectures : Medication rights and errors, drug calculations, management of patient with suicidal tendenc and patient safety. Day 3 lectures : labelling and despatching of specimens, nursing care report and ward routines and work processes. Went to JB with jianning and his 3 friends who went syndey with him for attachments on thursday :) Pictures time! HAHAHA!
Roti prata for breadfast at some shop.
After breadfast, jianning's friend baoyu brought us to Tebrau City :) We took a bus from a bus stop opposite City Sqaure. The bus journey was around 1/2 hour before we reached our destination! HAHA.
Jianning's favourite place! HAHAHA.
Jianning's friend esther wanted to sing kbox so we went to sing! HAHA. In malaysia, it's call redbox! I love their redbox, all their songs are so updateddd! So much better than kbox! Got alot of original english songs too!!!
Redbox is like kbox, got k lunch! 11-2pm it's 10.35ringgit per pax :) The food wasnt very delicious! HAHA.
Our bills! So cheappppp :)
Jianning and his friends was craving for malaysia's kfc! It's really 100 times nicer than singapore's kfc! Love the chicken and mash potato :)

Our main course! :) Student meal only $6.50 with drink and 2 scoops of ice creams! And they also have set lunch that is around $12 with soup, drink (i think) and 1 piece of small cake! HAHA.
