Im so excited to blog today! HAHA! I know alot of you (i meant the people in my class) wants to know how HSE (home service for the elderly) is like since you guys didnt have a chance to go so i am gonna tell you my day 1 experience! HAHA! I dont know how to start! LOL! I am loss for words now! ARGHHH! To cut it short, 1 student nurse is attached to 1 nurse. I was attached to this particular staff nurse who was on half day leave today so my staff nurse asked me to follow this senior staff nurse and Xiao Hua happen to be under her too! HAHA! I was rather lucky that i went with her cause i didnt know some of the students! HAHA! The senior staff nurse was in charge of the eastern area so imagine me staying in Toa Payoh have to go all the way to Bedok which is so far!! Anyways Xiao Hua and me slacked in their office till 10am cause our senior staff nurse is busy typing out her stuff so we chit chat all the way. HAHA! We left the office at 10am and off we go to Bedok! We cabbed to Bedok!! HAHA! All thanks to the nurse! :) She is very friendly and chatty towards us! She told us all the stories of the patients! HAHA! In total we went to 5 houses and the nurse performed catherization, NGT insertion and also dressing! We are really lucky to see all of them as they normally do dressing on monday, wednesday and friday and NGT insertion and catherization on tuesday and thursday! It was really an eye opener for me as i didnt know nurses go to patients house to do all these unless its private nursing, so yeah!



You must be thinking why i post this picture right? Got this particular patient who is so thin! She is actually anorexia! OMG! She is only 13kg! OMG!! I cant believe it! But she really super thin la! And all her sisters also so thin lor!! But at least they a bit fatter than their 13kg sister! Anyways she is even skinner than the picture above! It's really scary to see this kind of people these days in Singapore cause we are a developed country and there are still such people around. I think i have enough of sharing! HAHA! Before i forget, students who go HSE are really lucky cause we do not need to stay until 4pm! HAHA! We can go off as early as 1pm! Cant believe it right? But it's true! I went off at 2plus today! HAHA! That's all for HSE posting today! On a random note MeiQin and me went to Far East to collect new stocks today! I am so excited for the next collection cause got alot of things like necklace, belts and kimonos!! :) And and and 11 more days to attachments and 28 more days to seeing my baby! ARGHHH!! I CANT WAIT!! I wished i have a time machine to bring me to 28 days later! HAHA! Ciao!!
